Hiking & Outdoors
Glacier National Park
Whitefish is a short 20-30 minute drive to Glacier National Park. Take a day and enjoy the true beauty of Montana. More than 700 miles of hiking trails provide opportunities to explore mountain lakes, glaciers, waterfalls, diverse plant and wildlife including bears, mountain goats, bighorn sheep, moose and dear.
Whitefish Mountain
Whitefish Mountain puts the fun in outdoors. Zip down the mountain from the top of the trees or slide down the fast and furious alpine slide. Walk across the tree tops or take a relaxing scenic lift ride up. No matter how you choose to get up or down the mountain these adventures will have your whole crew smiling from cheek to cheek.
Whitewater Rafting
Get ready to see some of the most beautiful sights in this breathtaking (literally) experience. Whitewater rafting is by far one of our favorite things to do in Montana. Glacier Raft Co offers guided trips in the prime waters of Glacier National Park.
Whitefish Golf Course
Whitefish Golf Course has two 18-hole golf courses that are equally as beautiful and challenging as the other. Walking distance from Grouse Mountain Lodge and 5 minutes from downtown. Take the day - relax, unwind and enjoy a game (or two)!
Downtown Whitefish
Shopping
Central Avenue in Whitefish is part of the character that makes up the town. You will find a mix of traditional family stores, cute boutiques and sports shops - interspersed with restaurants, bars, coffee shops, brewery, art galleries and gift stores.
